So long in fact that it frees their heads to move around from their bodies scaring mortals!

Tattered Page & Timekillers
A Tattered Page has returned and for this round includes citations provided by Ray Bradbury's The Martian Chronicles. ImmateriA pays homage to the story about a very lonely house in the entry "There Will Come Soft Rains".
Soft Rains was inspired by the following citation: "Ten o'clock. The sun came out from behind the rain. The house stood alone in a city of rubble and ashes. This was the one house left standing. At night the ruined city gave off a radioactive glow which could be seen for miles.Ten-fifteen. The garden sprinklers whirled up in golden founts, filling the soft morning air with scatterings of brightness, The water pelted windowpanes, running down the charred west side where the house had been burned evenly free of its white paint.
The entire west face of the house was black, save for five places. Here the silhouette in paint of a man mowing a lawn. Here, as in a photograph, a woman bent to pick flowers. Still farther over, their images burned on wood in one titanic instant, a small boy, hands flung into the air; higher up, the image of a thrown ball, and opposite him a girl, hands raised to catch a ball which never came down. The five spots of paint-the man, the woman, the children, the ball-remained. The rest was a thin charcoaled layer"(August 2026: THERE WILL COME SOFT RAINS).
The outfit includes the jacket, hat, umbrella, boots, gasmask and shadow attachment.
Two locations offered for shopping convenience. The Library is the one-stop shopping event location:

Elizabeth, A Tattered Page
![]() |
| Photograph by Aggie Mactavish |
Elizabeth was inspired by the following text in Chapter 23:
"It came from the room into which Elizabeth had retired. As I heard it, the whole truth rushed into my mind, my arms dropped, the motion of every muscle and fibre was suspended; I could feel the blood trickling in my veins and tingling in the extremities of my limbs. This state lasted but for an instant; the scream was repeated, and I rushed into the room. Great God! Why did I not then expire! Why am I here to relate the destruction of the best hope and the purest creature on earth? She was there, lifeless and inanimate, thrown across the bed, her head hanging down and her pale and distorted features half covered by her hair. Everywhere I turn I see the same figure–her bloodless arms and relaxed form flung by the murderer on its bridal bier. Could I behold this and live? Alas! Life is obstinate and clings closest where it is most hated. For a moment only did I lose recollection; I fell senseless on the ground" (Shelley 165).
This scene had great significance; the murder of Elizabeth on her wedding night was the final catapult into Victor's descent of revenge that stripped away what was left of his humanity. It is also said from literary scholars that this scene was inspired by a painting from Henry Fuseli's 'The Nightmare'.
Aggie Mactavish of Stargazer Creations generously added the Elizabeth skin in several stages, all representing the "lifeless" body. ImmateriA contribution is Elizabeth's lifeless eyes and the lace wedding gown and veil worn but hours earlier.
